Our Vision…to see people be transformed by and obsessed with the gospel so that it changes everything – our lives, our families, our churches, our city, our world.
Our purpose and mission is to spread the gospel and make disciples for the glory of God.
Our Core Values…
Truth- Truth must be at the very center of what we believe, what we do, and who we are. Scripture is God’s truth in written word to us. Paul teaches us that “all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:16-17). But truth isn’t just a word or a collection of words. Truth is a person. Jesus says that He is truth (Jn 14:6) and that the truth will set us free (Jn 8:32). But speaking the truth alone is not enough. It must be communicated with grace and love (1 Cor 13 and Col 4:6).
Community – Truth learned is best applied and lived out in community. This was the model for Jesus (Mk 3:14 and Luke 6:12-16) and the early church (Acts 2). God created us for relationship from the very beginning and the scripture throughout the Old and New Testaments continually teach us that life and truth is best lived out in a community of genuine and authentic relationships. Small groups are intentional efforts to help create an atmosphere conducive for believers and unbelievers to grow in their understanding and application of God’s truth.
Service – Jesus did not just instruct us to serve others he demonstrated and modeled it for us (Mk 10:45). Throughout the gospels we find stories of incredible service that at times came at great cost to the individual serving – Jesus washing the disciples’ feet (Jn 13:3-17), the Good Samaritan (Lk 10:25-37), the men that brought their paralytic friend to Jesus (Mk 2:1-5). We are to be on constant vigil looking for opportunities to serve and show compassion daily to family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and strangers (Mt. 22:39).
Missional Living – God calls us to live intentional lives. Jesus’ instruction about the spread of the gospel is intentional. The Great Commission (Mt 28:18-20) teaches us that we are to spread and live out the gospel intentionally as we go. This means that God has a purpose behind where we live, where we work, and where we play. Jesus commands us to live as a “sent” people (Jn 20:21). When we live missionaly we introduce or re-introduce the gospel by our words and our actions to family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and strangers. Missions is not something we just do, but something we are.
Bottomline…we want to lead people to become obsessed with Jesus.
